"I am the eye in the sky, looking at you... I can read your mind."

"Eye in the Sky"
The Alan Parsons Project (1982)

Don't think sorry's easily said
Don't try turning tables instead
Youv'e taken lots of chances before
But I'm not gonna give anymore
Don't ask me
That's how it goes
'Cause part of me knows what you're thinkin'

Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusation before
And I ain't gonna take any more
Believe me
The sun in your eyes
Made some of the lies worth believing

Chorus:
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see any more
To know that
I can read your mind, I can read your mind

Dont leave false illusions behind
Dont cry cause I ain't changing my mind
So find another fool like before
Cause I ain't gonna live anymore believing
Some of the lies while all of the signs are deceiving

I remember choosing this song to review for an English class back in High School.  It had a great impact on me then.  Listening to it still drives me to contemplation until now.  The good thoughts that it brings... and the cleansing of the mind and the heart that it initiates feels good each time.  Some things never change, just because some things are really good... like this song, and the emotions and the positive realization that it invokes.

"Don't say words you're gonna regret...."

Uh-hmm... doesn't the video remind you of 'the Queen' and James Bond sky diving from a chopper into the Olympic Arena during the 2012 London Summer Games Opening Ceremony?  Now, we know where that cool idea came from, huhAwesomeness! :)
