The Way of the Cross... following Jesus.
Visita Iglesia 2015... a commemoration of the greatest love of all. |
Jesus carried his cross, bore the burden of our sins through his cross and through his crucifixion and death. He redeemed us from the bondage of sin through an ultimate act of sacrifice... an ultimate act of love. And, by rising from death, our sins are forgiven... and we are promised with eternal life... in the loving peacefulness and joyfulness of our Father's heart. We believe this. And this is what we have in our hearts as we go from one church to another on Maundy Thursday. It's to symbolize how we are following Jesus Christ, sharing in his passion... to become worthy of his sacrifice, his love; to celebrate his resurrection from the dead... to testify that he has risen from the dead, to testify of our Father's love by sending his only begotten son, our savior. To show that, indeed, we believe that Jesus Christ has redeemed us from death that is sin.
Visita Iglesia is finding Jesus in the Way of the Cross... the way of our Savior, the way of love, the way to redemption, the way to the Father, the way to eternal happiness. We believe. It's all about faith!
