"Moving Day"...

...from State College, PA to Ithaca, NY.

Beginning a new chapter in my Humphrey Fellowship Journey today...
in Ithaca, Upstate NY.

Nope, this isn't a "Saturday Photo" post.  It is a 'regular post' that just needs to begin with a photo to allow speed in posting here as the day is progressing with a tons of demands.  Obviously, I 'owe' this blog TONS of posts from my Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship journey.  It was an incredibly eventful eight months since I got infected, almost did not survive, and miraculously recovered from COVIID-19 in August 2021... and then went on a whirlwind of preparations to commence my Humphrey journey at the Penn State University in September 2021.  It had been unbelievable!

The Penn State phase of the journey ended on the 30th of April... and I would love to talk about that wealth of unforgettable experience here at some point. Right now, I am excited to begin my new journey at the Food Venture Center of Cornell University in Geneva, NY, and at the Department of Food Science in Ithaca, NY as I leave State College, carrying with me tons of warm and brilliant friendships that are difficult to describe and quantify.  One of the most important of these friendships is that with the Director of the Innovation Park at Penn State, Dan Leri, who served as my local Professional Affiliation host, supervisor and mentor.

I do love Penn State and the many people who helped me find and open doors of opportunities as a Humphrey Fellow.  I am sure that such opportunities will not only impact positively my own own life - professional and personal, but also those of my colleagues in the University of Santo Tomas and its many other stakeholders. And, I feel very fortunate that such experience will be augmented by a 'homecoming' at Cornell.  I am not sure what this will bring me... but I am hopeful that it will be as unforgettable as my experience in Penn State - in many positive ways.

I cannot wait!  May God bless my path in this part of the journey as well as the people in it and around it.
