This is one of the reasons why I'm starting to like the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and one of Taiwan's major airlines, Eva Air. Aside from EA's reasonably priced airfare, the airport - EA's hub - offers comfort through modern amenities, ample space, good food, Taiwanese art exhibits and mini galleries... and Sanrio Gift Gate's Hello Kitty! :) It's a nicely "kittified" airport! :) The luggage carts are decorated with colorful pictures of the world's most lovable Kitty, there are lounging and children's play areas decorated with colorful images of the versatile Kitty, a huge Gift Gate store that is a real heaven for the kitty-cat at heart. There is a set of old-fashioned phone booths with the Kitty's marks and colors all over them, and a wall of kitty clocks, showing the time in different major cities in the world. It's almost a "magical place"... too irresistible for an overworked '80s girl on vacation looking to momentarily escape the "real world" and the nauseating "grown-up childishness" that infests it!
