...becomes one of our heartfelt wishes as we go deeper into that "labyrinth" called "advanced adulthood". :)

Huh? Mid-life crisis? Uh, nah... let's not even go there! ;) If anything, there's that silver lining... and it's called "retirement"! :) Although some people I know are terrified by the mere thought of it - something I really don't get - I am excited to experience it! ;) I truly believe that there's just so much the world has to offer... for us to discover and explore in fun adventures (and misadventures), without having to worry about returning to "work mode" all the time. And yet, maybe retirement could, indeed, be terrifying if one viewed it as that stage when one's life comes to a halt rather than a stage where one, after a fulfilling "major adventure", moved on to yet another life's phase that's filled with the promise of more meaningful feelings of fulfillment. A phase where one explored "other interesting turns" in life's labyrinth, which were left unexplored because one was afraid that they might not lead to the exit... and that did turn out to be a practical decision in the end, of course. But, retirement can be a time to be impractical... and unafraid again - like a child - because one can afford that now. Only, this time, there really is nothing to be afraid of because the true hurdles have already been cleared, the treacherous traps marked prominently... and the rest of the lap is just "fun run", where one has really nothing to lose. :)
But 2012 is on its way. Ah, New Year... and I pray for an exciting new beginning! :)

Image brag: I took the photos in the collage above on Christmas day using my little point-and-shoot. And the adorable little girls in the photos are my grandnieces! :)
